JACS Achieves Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification

JACS Solutions, a global provider of custom mobility solutions for industrial and enterprise Internet-of-Things applications, has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

CMMC is a federal government framework on cybersecurity standards and best practices that companies must adhere to when doing business with the U.S. Department of Defense . The primary goal of the CMMC program is to protect defense contractors from malicious cyber activity and prevent the loss of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). There are five levels of certification, with each level requiring additional security processes and practices to safeguard systems and data. Each level represents a higher degree of protection for CUI that an organization is authorized to access.

“This certification represents a first step in enabling JACS to handle sensitive information from the U.S. Federal Government. Increasing the maturity around our IT systems and processes not only makes us better as an organization but empowers us to serve customers who require higher standards for the protection of their data,” said Patrick Herwig, General Manager for public sector  sales and operations at JACS Solutions.

The cybersecurity experts on the JACS Solutions information technology team completed the required self-assessment, which measures an organization’s ability to safeguard federal contracting information. JACS Solutions plans to expand their resources and proficiency in data protection to achieve higher levels of CMMC compliance in the future.
